Halloween Haunt 2025: Our favorite Top 20 spooky merch and decor of the year

We picked up a lot of different Halloween, horror, Universal Monsters and otherwise spooky decor this hoilday season--and now find out our top 20 favorites!

1) Frankenstein pillows from Target. There were a LOT of great pillows this year. A lot of great Frankenstein and Bride pillows. These were probably our second favorite of the year--see our favorite pillow shortly.

Pillows

2) "I got a rock." Super 7's Boodega event was a little smaller this year, but wow did they come out swingin'. Universal Monsters, Svengoolie and yes, this "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" figure of the blockhead in his costume is perfect!

3) Like pillows, this year was packed with unique mugs, too. Our favorite might must be this Dracula mug from Barnes & Noble! It's based on the Dracula novel, of course.

4) Hold your surprise that we picked up books this Halloween season. Our favorite though is "Gods and Monsters" which is loosely based on Frankenstein director James Whale's final. years. One of our favorite movies, too!

5) Who would have thought that one of our favorite Halloween things would come from Tractor Supply? But now I've set it as my mission to keep these things ALIVE!

Succulents

6) I picked up this skeleton astronaut at Marshalls because I had regrets of not picking it up last year. It's definitely an all-year piece. Of course, we do Halloween all year here at Cereal Creatures anyway.

7) Blowmold of the year goes to this Target Frankenstein! It's not too big and looks great. My only complaint is that it's battery powered and eats through more batteries than the monster himself would.

8) This outdoor Peanuts mat was a very early pickup from Burlington for $8! I love the feeling walking across it, so I've left in my kitchen.

9) My favorite rug this year is also Peanuts, but this extremely soft kitchen rug is great and can be washed in the washing machine!

10) Our favorite pillow is this one from Kirkland's. Not only is it Frankenstein, but it is very soft and looks great on the bed. We bought two, of course!

11) These vintage-style vacuform-like wall hanging from Target is one of two different ones (the other was a black cat) we picked up this year. Yes, it's the Frankenstein monster!

12) This moon and wolf plush figure was one of the first Halloween things we bought this year and it comes from Target! We really appreciate Target doing Frankenstein, Dracula, Mummy and Wolf Man decor this year.

13) The mug theme continues adn these two come from Ross. A Jack O'Lantern man and Frankenstein are very unique and standout amongst the others.

14) We updated our coffin,er, bedding decor with lots of Frankenstein including a heavier throw from Marshalls and a bedroom set featuring licensed Universal Monsters!

15) We don't get much devil merch, but we really like these wood-like figurines--later additions to the Halloween monster collection. The devil, Frankenstein and Mummy came in a single package from HomeGoods.

16) Another Burlington add was our favorite throw this year that leaves monster fans scratching their heads. It's Dracula in a bathing suit moonbathing. We'll take it.

17) This Peanuts "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" book shows scenes from the Halloween special and each one is lit up by an actual light! This is cool and comes from Hallmark.

18) We pulled back on the dog toys and similar Frankenstein-inspired items this year. This one is our favorite as it has a "Teenage Frankenstein" vibe with the bulging eye.

19) I like the weird and unique items--and this Frankenstein monster and his bride in a bathtub doesn't let us down. This collectible was never in stores, at least this year, but we found it at Michaels online--and at a pretty heavy discount!

18) And our favorite purchase of the year is our prized Dracula and Frankenstein cookie jars from Ross! We also picked up the mug version of Dracula. The design and colors stand out and were our favorite adds to the collection for 2025!
