Halloween Haunt: Our Hallmark Haul with Peanuts, Universal Monsters and more!

This Hallmark Halloween Haunt Haul features Peanuts, Universal Monsters and our favorite Halloween ornaments for the 2026 spooky season.

As we do each year at this time, we're journeying out into the scorching heat of summer to find the latest crop of Halloween decor—and this time it was Hallmark!

This is a mixed hunt—meaning we did go to our one and only Hallmark store—still about an hour away—but we ended up getting most of what you see here online. The store, for some reason, hadn't yet received their Halloween ornaments and didn't carry the Universal Monsters merch. We did purchase this year's USS Enterprise, NCC-1701-G, metal ornament from the local store. After unsuccessfully finding the USS Titan last year, this one was a major get.

Back to Halloween. It was a hard call this year with a considerable selection of great ornaments and other items to pick from. We ultimately chose the Nifty Fifties Masquerade Costume ornament (reminiscent of a Ben Cooper mask mid-century), the Mini Darling Little Devil ornament, and the Peanuts Gang 60th Anniversary Spookied Trick-or-Treat ornament (a scene from the Great Pumpkin).

But to our surprise, we also found NEW Universal Monsters items! Making their debut in Hallmark's Itty Bitty plush line were the Frankenstein monster and Dracula. Unlike the "happy" plushes you see from Universal Studios parks and other places, these have a more serious look to them. And finally, we picked up the Universal Monsters drinking glass that features Dracula, Frankenstein, the Mummy, and the Wolf Man with their respective logos.

The only item we ended up not picking up, but may come back to, is the Sir Gourdon Fields Halloween nutcracker ornament. It reminded us of our own character, Gourd Rotter, but we weren't sure about getting it on the first round.

To our surprise, the "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" ornament featuring the Peanuts gang as they set out to get candy (and for Charlie, a rock or two), doesn't include any dialogue. It's spooky sounds and the music from that segment of the special. It's a great piece and for the short amount of time the jack o'lanterns appeared in the animated special, the recreation really makes good use of the light and sounds for the ornament.

We love the Halloween vintage mask of Dracula. The box art is perfect, though we swear an earlier version of this had a Frankenstein's monster on it. We wondered if the images were previews of others to come in the future.

We didn't know this glass even existed, but when we saw the unique artwork, it was a guaranteed pickup.

Hallmark has another devil piece this year, which is somewhat rare in Halloween decor, so even though it's tiny and covered in glitter, its uniqueness (and the fact that we created our own character, Teen Satan) meant we couldn't pass it up.

The Itty Bitty plushes are only a few inches tall, but they really capture Lugosi and Karloff's likeness in the stylized format.
