Hallmark has released their annual Dreambook of ornaments for 2026 and we've picked out our favorites including Halloween, horror, Batman and Star Trek.
STAR TREK
This year's Trek offering looks pretty vanilla compared to previous years, but there's a couple gems here. The shuttlecraft Galileo ornament appears like a great design, but the real treat is that audio from Leonard Nimoy--which is from the first issue of the shuttle from Hallmark's 1992 line-up. The other must-have is the U.S.S. Enterprise-G, the recommissioned Titan from Star Trek: Picard. Last year's Titan was hard to get (we still haven't gotten ours), but hopefully the Enterprise will be easier to add to our collection. Unfortunately, there's no sound or lighting and it's still $42.99. The pricing is odd since both Galileo and Enterprise are using existing molds, but the former includes audio. The description says the Enterprise is metal, so perhaps that explains the price increase.
The Spock vs. serpents is an homage to an old Trek model, which gives it a little uniqueness. The Nurse Chapel from Strange New Worlds and the Cerritos ornaments are pretty average and really just show the lag time in these ornaments since both shows are long-canceled now (though SNW still has a season and a half still to air).

UNIVERSAL MONSTERS
Oh my gosh--the Universal Monsters are back at Hallmark! Ok, one is, at least. The Creature from the Black Lagoon is here in all his scaly glory! Cost is $23.99, which isn't too bad for something this detailed. Other horror properties with ornaments include Gremlins, Ghostbusters, IT, Beetlejuice and Halloween II.

HALLOWEEN
There are a handful of Halloween-themed ornaments this year. We picked a few of our favorites from the Dreambook. This is the most unique nutcracker we've ever seen--it's a scarecrow, but has a witch's hat and lantern and is called Sir Gourdon Fields (get it? Gourd-on). He looks to be the size of a regular ornament and goes for $29.99.

It's not Halloween if there's not something from the Charlie Brown "Great Pumpkin" special. For a reasonably priced $35.99, this ornament lights up and plays sound effects. This one is so cool because it recreates the sequence when Lucy, Charlie and the others are trick or treating with the jack o'lantern animationsin the background.

And finally, there's an ornament representing a 1950's Halloween mask and costume in the form of a Dracula-inspired vampire. Period-style artwork adorns the Ben Cooper or Collegeville-style costume box. The available photo isn't clear, but the box appears to include a werewolf, witch, pumpkin headed figure, clown and Frankenstein monster. Could we see different version of this ornament with each of these spooks in future releases? This one is only $21.99.

BATMAN
It's not horror or Halloween, but it's definitely retro. The Batman offerings this year include a Batman '66 ornament with the Caped Crusader and Boy Wonder with the Bat computer, which includes dialogue and lights up. It has a hefty price of $60.99. A slightly cheaper option is an ornament featuring a Mego-style Batman on card, which retails for $27.99.

There seems to be fewer ornaments than in previous years, but that's likely a result of costs, inflation and the realities of retail. Despite that, there are some real gems in the Dreambook and we expect some of these to sell out really fast. Aside from the Batman '66 ornament, everything on our "must have" list comes out in July, this year set for July 11. Though it's quite the drive, there is still one Hallmark store we at Cereal Creatures love to visit a few times a year--and I expect this summer won't be an exception. For those who don't have a Hallmark store, these should all be available for purchase online--although there's nothing like seeing and playing with them in-store if you have that opportunity.
