Universal Monsters Haul: Dog toys, Blow-up Bride, Little Monters art kits and a Wolf Man book
This Universal Monsters haul features licensed merch including a Frankenstein 95th anniversary dog toy, a Blow-up Bride from Walmart, Little Monters books and a Wolf Man book.
The spooky season beckons and so does new releases from the world of the licensed Universal Monsters!
This unique Universal Monsters licensed dog toy from our favorite monster features Frankenstein with the 95th anniversary logo. This is the second time we've found the 95th anniversary merch, the first being a shopping bag/tote from Burlington. We picked it up at Petsmart. They also offered a Frankenstein sweatshirt for a small dog, but we didn't pick it up.

The only licensed monster at Walmart this Halloween is the inflatable Bride of Frankenstein, from the Dark Zodiac line. We're not sure what the Dark Zodiac branding is really for as it showcases astrological and tarot-style artwork. It originally appeared as a Box Lunch collection, but has made its way to Walmart.

While we don't have anywhere to blow up the bride, we really picked up this piece for the box art. For the first time that we can recall Universal is showcasing artwork of more than just their main line of monsters. In fact, the box art features Wolf Man, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Henry Frankenstein, the Frankenstein monster, the Phantom of the Opera, Dracula, the Hunchback of Notre Dame, the Mummy, the Invisible Man, Ygor, the Bride and the Creature from the Black Lagoon. Of all the new ones, we're loving the fact that Colin Clive's Dr. Frankenstein gets some love.

Target was stacked with the Little Monsters art and activity kits. From velvet art to scratch off activities, these inexpensive books bring the Universal Monsters to all ages.

And finally, this isn't a newly-released book, but the hardback called Hollywood Monsters: The Wolf Man tells the story of the 1941 film. From the back cover, it appears there are other editions featuring more Universal Monsters. This was a pickup from Barnes & Noble online.
