Universal Monsters’ The Wolf Man howls again in his own comic book from Image Comics and Skybound while also being part of a wolf-themed series of lunchboxes from Fright-Rags.
The Fright-Rags lunchbox features a nod to the 1941 movie poster and is licensed by the Lon Chaney Jr. estate. Made of metal, the lunchbox includes the telltale thermos, which also features Wolf Man artwork. The brown accents and orange and burnt colors make this package something that I might have picked up at a now-defunct department or drugstore in 1981.

The lunchbox joins other canine-adjacent offerings, including An American Werewolf in London and The Thing. Each is available to purchase now from fright-rags.com at a surprisingly affordable $26 each.
The Wolf Man is also making a return to comics in the Universal Monsters mini-series that have popped up at Image Comics over the past few years. Part of the Skybound line and written by frequent DC scribe Joshua Williamson, Blood of the Wolf Man #1 is available to pick up this coming Wednesday at your local comic shop (or online now for those without a comic shop).

Possibly the best covers from the monsters line yet, each features the Wolf Man in stunning poses ready to leap off the page. It’s a full-moon adventure at $5.99 or so, depending on the variant cover.
