It's been just over a month since ourlast Monthly Monster Merch Haul, but it feels like it was a year ago! All kidding aside, we're excited to start the new year off with a few great finds with an unintentional Wolf Man theme that left us howling!
Let's kick things off with this awesome Christmas gift: the Wolf Man from the 2004 Van Helsing movie. This rare figure looks amazing—and it's like getting two figures in one!

A few NECA Univeral Monsters were added to our collection over the holidays. First up, we got our Bride of Frankenstein two-pack celebrating the movies 90th anniversary. We also got this Dracula for Christmas. This is the rare Epic Universe exclusive edition available at the theme park.

Post-holiday shopping is the best because stores are clearing out their inventory. We scored some awesome deals! At Hot Topic, we snagged a Frankenstein anime shirt, a glow-in-the-dark Wolf Man hair clip, and a super cool Dracula sweatshirt jacket. We also got a Wolfman pullover and a Wolfman T-shirt, but we're keeping those folded for now. Make sure to check out Hot Topic—they've got tons of Universal Monster stuff!
We also picked up the Creature from the Black Lagoon and Dracula plushies on sale at the Universal Studios Store.

A new addition to our monster shelf is this Funko Force "The Werewolf." While technically not licensed, he sure looks like Lon Chaney Jr.

We recently snagged this Fright Rags Wolf Man Mini Mask for the wall. Before this, we got the Frankenstein and Wolf Man in their colored versions. I'm a big fan of these, not just because they look cool, but also because they're super lightweight and a breeze to hang up!

And our final add was this guy, who monitors things when I'm away. We're pretty strict on only collecting the Universal Monsters plushies, but some of these unlicensed monster-inspired collectibes are even better. For this year's Halloween Squishmellows, we picked up the devil (as a nod to our own Teen Satan) earlier this year and the Dracula during Halloween season. These aren't cheap, so I limited myself to just pick up one at ironically the only place that sold them locally, a Dillons supermarket. So, the Wolf Man you see below, I passed on twice. Then, after Halloween, my brother found him--one of the last ones left--on sale for $6. Not only is this monster one of the softest plushies I've ever seen, but he has a good origin story, too, having nearly been missed three times! We added a lot of insane monster collectibles this year, but this Wolf Man may in fact be our favorite!
