Halloween Haunt: October kicks off with a Kohl's Wolf Man light-up and Frankenstein soap dispenser from Ross
October kicks off with new pickups featuring a Wolf Man light-up table decor from Kohl's and a Frankenstein soap dispenser from Ross.
Every year there's a cool Halloween ornament or some type of decor that isn’t a viral product and mostly goes unnoticed. Last year, our favorite pickups were the pastel Frankenstein and Dracula cookie jars from Ross Dress for Less and the Frankenstein and Jack‑O'-Lantern succulents at Tractor Supply. This year, I'm not sure we've had that level of exciting pickup, but this Wolf Man (or Halloween Werewolf Moon Light‑Up) from Kohl’s has to be at the top.

We love this small but bold decor piece from Kohl’s Celebrate Together line. Wolf Man—or technically werewolves—have to be about fifth in the succession of most‑used public‑domain Universal Monsters archetypes, so any chance to pick up werewolf merch is top‑tier for us. Our closest Kohl’s didn’t have the Werewolf light in stock, so we grabbed it online. It was on sale, so it ended up only being about $20.
Kohl’s seems to have trickled things out this year, but this is the third pickup from them, with the others being Great Pumpkin‑related. From what we could tell, there were no other Universal Monsters‑inspired options from Kohl’s this year.

Our second pickup to kick off the final month of the official spooky season is this Frankenstein monster and Bride from Ross Dress for Less. Ross is killing it with new items almost every week for months now. It’s easily where we’ve made the most Halloween or monster pickups this year, and we feel it doesn’t get the credit it deserves.
If you’re looking for a spooky soap dispenser, Ross was fully stocked with some great designs, including a few that had ’90s vibes. From a haunted house to ghosts coming out of a coffin, there were a lot of good and unique options.
