Meet the Monsters!

Featured Character
Jason Frankenstein
"THE MONSTER"
"Doing something new with these character types is not easy while still keeping aspects of their creators spirit in each one of them. In this case, Jason Frankenstein has the duality of being both the man and the monster. This wasn't his choice--this Frankenstein wasn't on a path to be a mad scientist. For him, it became personal."

Featured Character
Joshua Brandt
"TEEN SATAN"
"Teen Satan is our original creation and now we're essentially creating an "ultimate" version. It's both an opportunity to try something new, but to really highlight what makes him a great character to play with. First and foremost, however, this Teen Satan is fresh and new."

Featured Character
Silas Van Helsing
"KID DRACULA"
"Dracula and vampires are hard characters to create and still not fall into the same tropes. In almost every reimaginging, Dracula is a bad guy. With our new reimgining, we're going to see an all-new Dracula with a modern take, but still preserves and honors that classic, Bela Lugosi template that we see in almost every interpretation."

Featured Character
Conway Wright
"TIMBERWATCH"
The Wolf Man is one of our favorite characters to write and long ago we reimaginged the typical werewolf as a Sasquatch. This version of Conway Wright is back to being a werewolf, but does have DNA of other beasts, too. The concept of Moonbeam as a drug is also very exciting from a storytelling perspective."

Featured Character
Ryder Griffin
"INVISIBLE MANIAC"
"Of all the classic Universal Monsters movies, James Whale's original flick really stands out as one of our favorites. Doing something that is both inspired by that, the original novel and adding in new elements allows us to essentially create a new character that is mischeivous, wounded, but brilliant. And the most important aspect is that he's the opposite of 'be seen and not heard.' That makes him both essential and dangerous."

Featured Character
Elizabeth Harker
"THE BRIDE"
"We've never done a take on the Bride of Frankenstein. This is not only new to our monster storytelling, but its new to us as creators. There's so little to base the character off of looking at the Frankenstein novel or 'The Bride of Frankenstein' movie. That makes creating her a very fun prospect."

Featured Character
Rory McCullough
"GREEN OWL"
"Long ago, we created the first version of a superhero called The Green Owl. We've done numerous reimaginings over the years. In this new incarnation, we're going full-on Batman-type horror. This is the Green Owl we'd envisioned--brutal, scary and sexy."

Featured Character
Marcus Dale
"SEA MAN"
As the last of the classic Universal Monsters, the Creature from the Black Lagoon never spoke, had motivations that weren't really understood and in each of his appearances had certain fascinations with humanity. In creating an archetype of a sea man, it's possibly the hardest of all the monsters to do something that doesnn't fall into a stereotype. This is a challenge, but we came up with a character that we would read and that's key."
Super Monsters
We cherish the myriad reimaginings of the iconic monsters from literature and the storied Universal Monsters pantheon. Yet, sometimes, the original incarnations are simply irreplaceable. Such is the case with the long-lost toy lines from Azrak-Hamway International (AHI), whose forgotten treasures have sparked the creation of our latest comic book sensation, Cereal Creatures Super Monsters. Skillfully sidestepping Universal’s copyright, generations of creators—including the likes of DC and Marvel—have re-envisioned the Frankenstein monster, Dracula, the Invisible Man, and many more, each infused with a unique creative flair. From the grotesque monsters to the deranged scientists who birth them, to the eerie, paranormal forces that haunt our very existence, you’ll discover a chilling tale that delivers the thrill of Halloween horror any day of the year. Osbourn Draw and Cereal Creatures have teamed up with Slasher Design's Willobee imprint to develop a companion comic to their AHI-inspired button set.
